In Guild Wars 2 the Elementalist is a Profession of the so-called "Mage Classes". When compared to Mage Classes of different MMORPG's, the Elementalist is slightly similar. If you just started playing Guild Wars 2, you will soon recognize the 4 different attunements of the Elementalist. For example, fire, water, earth and air. These four elementar skills can easily be swapped in combat with a little bit of a cooldown timer, and immediatly while beeing out of combat. To maximize you're unique playing style, you should always use the full potential of those 4 attunements i have stated above.

Earth tends to be provide you with protective skills while water provides you with a few healing casts. On the other hand, fire has alot of incredible damage skills and air is able to provide you with movement boosts.

Fire - Damage
Water - Healing
Earth - Protection
Air - Movement
